After his knee arthroscopy surgery, to Dr. Rogerson’s word; Joe was dancing with his wife on New Year’s Eve at a Badger Rose Bowl / New Year’s party.
The following spring Joe was able to play softball with his team as well as waterski and wakesurf with no pain.
“I wanted to share the wonderful experience and great work that Dr. John Rogerson and his team did when it was discovered I had injured my knee with a torn meniscus.
I am 55 years old and very active. I waterski, surf, play softball, and walk as often as possible. My wife and I love going out to hear bands play and dance to the music.
Less than a year ago, I was working outside after cutting the grass and taking care of some weeds. I was kneeling and felt a small pain when I got up. There was some pain there and swelling soon afterward.
After visiting Dr. Rogerson’s office and an MRI, it was determined I had a torn meniscus. Dr. Rogerson and his PA discussed the options for repairing the tear as well as the rehab after the procedure. As part of my history they knew I was a huge Badger fan, so the procedure was scheduled on a Friday of an away game so I could be home that weekend and start the rehab.
On the day of the procedure, I was prepped and got ready for the surgery. Dr. Rogerson gave me once last visit before I was under, and assured me I was in good hands and in a few short months I would be back to normal skiing, playing softball, and dancing with my wife.
When I woke up after the procedure my knee was heavily wrapped, and I was given instructions on what exercises to do as well as a quick lesson on using crutches. I followed the instructions to the letter and my progress was monitored by the staff with phone calls and follow up visits.
To Dr. Rogerson’s word I was dancing with my wife on New Year’s Eve at a Badger Rose Bowl / New Year’s party. The following spring I was able to play softball with my team as well as ski and surf with no pain. I am very pleased with the great work Dr. Rogerson and his staff performed when I injured my knee." - Joe D.
