Dr. Joseph Henningsen completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Louisville, where he specialized in robotic total joint replacement using muscle-sparing approaches. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Wright State University. During residency, he was awarded a national research grant for his research on periprosthetic fracture care. He has presented his research at national orthopedic trauma and orthopedic adult reconstruction conferences.

Dr. Henningsen's scope of practice includes comprehensive care in orthopedic adult reconstruction and orthopedic fracture care. His clinical interests and expertise include:

- Total knee replacement
- Revision total hip and knee replacement

- Patient-focused treatment, education, and rehabilitation
- Fracture care, including periprosthetic fracture management

Personal
Dr. Henningsen is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and is excited to be practicing in the community where he now lives with his wife. Born and raised in Wisconsin, he is a lifelong Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badger fan. In his free time, he enjoys running, golfing, reading, and spending time with his family.
