He is one of only three elected sports medicine surgeons serving as a Wisconsin state representative for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for five consecutive years (2022–2026).

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Rawal earned his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Demonstrating early leadership, he was elected by his peers and mentors to serve as Administrative Chief Resident during his final year of training.
