As a nurse of 40 years, I have experienced good bad and ugly encounters with various healthcare experiences and Stoughton Health and the Stoughton OrthoTeam Clinic exceeded my expectations in the care they provided. The plan and information provided to me leading up to the surgery was top notch including written information along with several pre-op phone calls to make sure I was prepared for surgery. Post-operatively I also had a wealth of written information to help me navigate my recovery. I am used to getting a 24-hour post-op call from the surgeon’s staff the day after surgery, but I was really surprised when Dr. Henningsen was the one that called me to see how I was doing. That showed me the personal connection he makes with his patients.

I had concerns about having my surgery at a smaller hospital, but things went smoothly. The staff at Stoughton Hospital were wonderful.

Finally, a helpful tip I have if you need to have a total knee replacement. Do not wait too long. My quality of life has improved since having my knee replacement.
